- Tap a symbol to copy it, or press Copy all to take the whole group.
- For festive text, write your greeting or a name and tap the version you like.
- Paste it into WhatsApp, your Instagram bio, a game nickname or a digital card.
Where Christmas symbols work
They are standard Unicode characters, so you can paste them into WhatsApp and Messenger chats, your Instagram or TikTok name and bio, captions, emails and digital Christmas cards. Text symbols such as โ or โ also work in many game nicknames.
Some fields are stricter. Usernames on Instagram, TikTok and Discord only take plain letters and numbers, and some games and apps refuse emoji or rarer symbols: if one is rejected, try a simpler one. Limits such as 12 characters in Free Fire or 150 in an Instagram bio count every symbol too.
Emoji or text symbols?
Emoji such as ๐ or ๐ are drawn in colour by each phone, so they look a little different on iPhone, Android and Windows. Text symbols such as โ, โ or โ take the colour of the text and suit nicknames and borders better, though some apps turn a few of them into emoji.
We chose every symbol on this page so that it displays on Android phones, iPhones and Windows computers from the last few years. A phone that has not been updated for years can still show an empty box instead of the newest emoji.

Why does a symbol look different on a friendโs phone?
Each phone draws emoji in its own design. The character is the same, so your message still says the same thing.
